Back in September of last year thisismynext.com (now theverge.com) reported the next version of Google Android mobile operating system after “Ice Cream Sandwich” (ICS) will be called “Jelly Bean” (version 5.0). Today, the same tech blogger reported that the next version after Jelly Bean will be called “Key Lime Pie” (KLP). Many tech watchers had speculated that the letter “K” could have been called “Kettle Corn” (popcorn).
While Jelly Bean candy is made in California near the city of Sacramento, key lime pie is the most popular pie in the state of Florida. Google Android is now serving both coasts.
